SEATTLE, WA, February 29, 2016 — Last week’s CHART Conference in Seattle was a grande event with record-breaking attendance and an e-learning buzz that kept the DiscoverLink team hopping. Here are some highlights of the networking, learning and fun that were brewing:
Jason Jones, Business Development Manager for DiscoverLink, kicked off the conference by participating in the Service Palooza event at Immanuel Community Services.
DiscoverLink’s Co-founder John Poulos served as Co-Activities Director for the conference, and is pictured below with the conference team finalizing all of the pre-event details. John was responsible for planning the evening events and ice-breakers, and the DiscoverLink team created the coffee-themed table and stage decorations.
DiscoverLink hosted 20 guests for dinner at one of its client’s restaurants, Ivar’s Acres of Clams. Guests included representatives from Cinnabon, The Common Man, The Habit Burger, Ivar’s, Granite City, McAlister’s, McNellie’s, Perkin’s & Marie Callender’s, Rib Crib and Rubio’s.
The event at the Seattle Space Needle, sponsored in part by DiscoverLink, offered beautiful views, great food and lots of fun with friends.
Josh Lowry, Director of Content Development for DiscoverLink, presented a breakout session focused on how to prioritize content for e-learning courses — a critical success factor for new content in this era of micro-learning.
The Resource Gallery was busy as always with many attendees inquiring about e-learning. Of course, the DiscoverLink team was happy to help out by sharing the latest trends and best practices in e-learning for hospitality businesses. And congratulations to Jennifer White, VP of Training at Resort Lifestyle Communities, who won the 32-inch television raffle prize!
